General Weather Conditions:

Summer temperatures generally range between 60-90 degrees. There always seems to be a breeze, and sometimes we get a dramatic afternoon thunderstorm. Winter temperatures average from the high teens to low 40's. We get the occasional blizzard that may leave a foot or two of snow, but usually the white stuff is patchy and averages 6-8 inches in depth. Spring and Fall are temperamental months...it could be 20 degrees in April and 80 degrees in October, or vice versa.

Travel Directions:

The two largest airports are Las Vegas (280 miles south) and Reno (250 miles west). The drive time for each is 5 and 4 hours respectively. There is some interesting stuff to see along both routes and the traffic will be light and fast. Additionally, Elko has a good airport with major carrier service, 180 miles/3 hours north of us. I can arrange to pick you up in either Las Vegas, Reno, or Elko. There is an additional charge for this service. For our piloting or charter clients, Eureka (65 miles NE/1.5 hours) has a great little airport. Airport Information ..not much for a terminal, but the runway is long and we will be there to pick you up at no additional charge.

General Information:

The atmosphere is CASUAL. I want you to relax. The landscape is high plains desert. The old west, ' Rawhide' and 'High Plains Drifter'. The air here is clean and you will breathe lots of it. We are at 7,000ft and the mountains in which we are nestled rise to 13,000ft. We are located very near the geographical center of Nevada

History is thick here. You can see geothermic hot pools, dinosaur digs, Indian petroglyphs and pictographs, old ghost towns, mines, museums and cowboys working in the tradition of the old west.
